you are really blessed, obiero. But I wonder how many Kenyans, given a choice btwn cheap good looking second hand and brand new clothing will go for new clad. The only way such outlets would make it is if mitumbas were banned

I wasn't sure if you are counting your blessings or bragging.
I think you have very poor financial/ investment skills if your pegging the goodness or badness of the IPO on your dressing style. That leads me to conclude you were bragging about your dressing choice and as such you probably have very little wealth apart from the nice clothes you wear.

Thats with the assumption that all new clothes are more expensive than mtumba clothes..... which is not necessarily the case. I have seen mtumba clothes being sold for as much as 8k when you can find some new china clothes at 2k in the nairobi stalls... the difference is in the quality of what you get.

I think what Mr. Price and the rest offer is the latest style good quality new clothes at prohibitively high prices hence cutting off most of kenyans and kenyans know where to get the same, cheaper..... waaaayyyy cheaper...

Interestingly, these outlets products are not as expensive in SA as they are here in Kenya. So in Kenya, i think they will have to strategise a way of competing with the second hand clothes market.
My 2 cents
