Deacons IPO.. public share offer?

Its the Mr Price unit. I think CFC is scooping up some...not sure. Now somebody give us some numbers here.

Sasa when you say Mr. Price unit what do you mean? Doesn't Deacons own Woolworths, Truworths, Mr. Price, Identity, Adidas, Life Fitness etc. So how does IPO affect one brand alone? Maybe to assist them in their forays in all Malls in Kenya.

I read they want to raise KShs 800m perhaps requiring a minimum of over 100k to apply from later this week. I'm keen on this IPO and I guess Kestrel Capital will be the main people since they did the last one. Let me look for prospectus, to see whether they make money...

@Muganda, This indeed should be an interesting IPO. Mr Price, Truworths and Woolworths are all retailers (dealing mainly in clothing) who are separately listed on the JSE. As you have indicated, let's see the prospectus to determine the prospects.

there is a growing middle class that does not wear mitumba. i personally am blessed to have never worn second hand clothing. i think this will be a good ipo

just to clarify my me neither does not mean I have never worn second hand it means that I also wonder whether being spared second hand is a blessing

you are really blessed, obiero.But I wonder how many Kenyans, given a choice btwn cheap good looking second hand and brand new clothing will go for new clad.The only way such outlets would make it is if mitumbas were banned
