Those who are saying "sell" will be saying "i wish i bought in 2010" when this giant keg starts rolling. What better stock can you get than a GROWING eabl at the right PRICE?

EABL is a good income play though i really want to see how it will grow its earnings with a saturating market and increased competition...

Currently i'll do this from the sidelines

EABL has said generous dividends to its shareholders will be a thing of the past as the company has and is going to spend most of its retained earnings on buying half of and revamping Serengeti Brewery. The reduced earnings will go on till 2014 if not 2016

Another key factor will be the re-entry of SAB Castle Brewery into Kenya, this time in a sure footed manner after previous harassment by EABL. SAB is harassing EABL in Southern Sudan and doing a good mash work on EABL in Uganda.

Add Mututho laws to the equation and EABL shareholders will have a low return on their investment in the medium term.

Recommendation: Sell now, buy in 2013.

Those are opinions...i repeat..OPINIONS of whoever wrote the article. EABL did not say that.

This is nothing close to a profit warning. Infact it shows the company is so stable that it's preparing for a rough ride.
Just a reminder that i make a lot more in capital gains as compared to the meagre dividends.

@Sober, I suspect you need to sober up to the fact that eabl is now on a free fall at the stock market. It is down to 202 now. This alligator effect is killing us now. He should be burned from using the word profit warning again. He knows too much. I have lost 80k today on Eabl, wish I had taken the lizard seriously last ween.

fast n furious...i dont believe that the price reaction is any cause for alarm, the reassignment of earnings i believe is a short term move and in the right direction, dividend cuts is a bad signal punishable by the markt only if it is not accompanied by a strategic investment like they are making at serengeti, this move on the contrary is poosive, a signal of growth n repositioning and will drive up shareholder value in the mid to long term, so we should anticipate gains as soon as the initial reaction wanes i do not foresee a downturn in revenue and threfore we will continue to see an incr in cap gains which will be rewarded by the market in form of price gain.

Eabl is up almost 10% this year. Is there something am missing here or I should be afraid when every share is gaining momentum with no fundamentals in place.

Bars have cut waiters by half, opens at 5pm and closes at 11pm on week days... and still EABL shares rally?

EABL is now trading at 225.
