The best thing Kenyans from other tribes can do is to get positively aggressive in all that they do.If you are a maasai, rear your cattle with all the passion, meru grow and sell your miraa with all your passion,Taita farm your sisal with all your passion,Mkamba create and market your antiques with all your passion.
I'm not a Kikuyus but I admire their aggressiveness,it's unmatched.A kikuyu will come to Nairobi, start roasting maize, selling charcoal, hawking and after a few years you will see a pickup or canter in his name.
You will be working with a Kikuyu, earning more income than him/her but in a few years he will be a landlord.
Go to any merry go round, women chamas,Youth groups, the majority will be Kikuyus.
Kikuyus educated their children especially girl child immediately after independence when other communities showed apathy against girl child education. These are now the mothers of the people holding senior positions.
Just go to many offices in Nairobi,You will be greeted by a Kikuyu Secretary.
Mwangi took the position because he was qualified for it .He was interviewed and shortlisted by Deloitte.
Lesson to other communities:
Let's take whatever we do very seriously.
Let,s join hand as unity is strength.
Let's take charge of our destiny and stop blaming the Kikuyus for our predicaments.
Nobody chose to be born in a certain tribe.
