Hi Wazuan's

I have been pitched for a business idea that i am told is very profitable.

The idea is to offer transportation for families going upcountry for the burial of loved ones.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this business and what are some of the pros and cons?

All help is much appreciated.

Kind regards
Milele

Wazuans, anybody with any insight on this venture.

Please let me know your thoughts?

I am looking to move back to kenya and want to venture into business for myself after creating wealth for other people in the corporate world.

There is a lot of business but you have to offer more than that, simply because the funeral homes offer a package that incorporates that. from clothing the departed, transporting and lowering to the final resting place.
African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

Thanks Sober.

That was very insightful.

Are you by any chance involved in the funeral home business and are you able to give me more pointers?

funeral undertaker's is a good business judging by the way funeral parlours have sprung and expanded. Include the one of bringing over bodies from the diaspora back home to widen your market. I once interviewed an undertaker and was intrigued that his busiest months were Dec (accidents) and July (reportedly the cold does in a lot of old folks).

Ha! what does it mean when an undertaker starts saying business is good, expects it to be better in the coming months?!
