Several things are going on in U.S

1. Job recovery has not materalized as ealier hoped for.

The job market is still getting worse albeit at a much slower pace.

2. Housing is not recovering,it is getting worse although much slower.

3. Vacation hot spots like hawaii are reporting record low bookings So I don't see how americans will come to Kenya if Hawaii has low bookings.

I think we have at least 4-6 months before the market hits bottom.

Of course I could be wrong,I predicted that NSE would by now be at 9000 becasue of an Obama presidency, and look how wrong I was.

Mwana-note that the NSE always operates behind the curve so the West will have their correction any time between now and October and the NSE thereafter.

Look... Kenya needs to go to the regional markets & east to Middle East,India,China and Japan (and all those in between). Diversify.

For equities,a significant number of investors from this market are moving into emerging markets...you may end up chasing the wrong shadow,,,

@Mwana. I take my hat off to you for acknowledging you were wrong when you made such an outrageous call. I think you are on to something this time round but while I expect a downward correction,it should not be that serious.

But for some of us avowed speculators, this is just what we like. Markets go up - we bail out. They go down we are in. You just have to be quick on pulling the trigger. There's nothing better than a volatile market. That's when we make our money.

Iko kitu....my sell orders are lagging which is quite unusual...thats a danger signal
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.
