Need your advice!

I hired a lawyer to assist me in the purchase of a plot in mlolongo,the exercise was done successfully and acquired all the tranfer docs including the tittle. we were completely done with the seller.

On receipt of the tittle the following day (7-7-08) I handed the same to my lawyer to go amd lauch the tranfers at the lands. Unfortunately upto today he has never given any any proof of lauch. He has howerver been very slippery as he works with a middle level college in the city as a law lecturer.

I have told him that i will take a legal action against him for withholding my title information.

Truly disappointed despite havein paid him all his charges

@Richie.
I feel you my brother.It happens that you are not alone on this.I happen to have bought a piece of land in Kasarani in 2005 and to date i've never seen my title.The guy keeps on telling me that they will soon be out.When i ask him to hand over the files to me so that i can push it myself he says all is well and i should not panic.Am just wondering is there some place you can report these guys and if so at what cost to your engagement with him.

@Richie;

Why do you sound like you are fearing going to the LSK?

That is the starting point for any complaint against a lawyer.

But there are alternatives; like going to Mungiki. Unfortunately my contact there left the organisation and joined a famous church in CBD!!

So,you are left with LSK. File a complaint and see how it will unfold.

There is an outfit know as the 'advocates complaints commission' based at Sheria House,They should be able to sort you out.
