I don't believe Rooney has started any sort of negotiations with Real, this whole story of him demanding more than Ronaldo is just a creation of the media. The only time his allowed to talk to other clubs is January.

English hooliganism!!!!

Wayne Rooney was visited at his home in Cheshire last night by militant Manchester United fans who carried a banner that read "Join City and you will die" – the latest twist in the saga that has followed the player's shock decision not to sign a new contract at the club.

@McReggae, his pals dont necessarily have to be his colleagues, read my post again. guess @mwenza was right.
nway, dude is looking at getting 14m euros from his prospective employers. dont think he can get that from Real which would make him earn more than CR7 or at Barca where Messi's at. meaning only man shitty can give him that.
at the Budarspor match, fans had the banner 'Who's the Wh*re now Wayne'...

Beckham was clearly not good than Zidane, Figo, Raul when he signed for Real Madrid but he still managed to get a better deal than all of them and guess who was the President then...Fiorentino Perez. Rooney is currently England's best player so he's more than just your ordinary player, he's a brand.

The difference is that none between Zissou, Figo and Raul ever played in England. CR7 did. Thats the difference and the reason why Mr Shrek will never match CR7 wages at Real.

The shortcut for him to earn more than CR7 is to join Man-shitty.

besides, dont think Mr. President would want to create disharmony in the White House dressing room by paying WR more than CR7.

@TAZ...........After a brief RESEARCH, I have realised that you are actually misleading the forum. Its true Beckham earned more than the players you have given but not in terms of wages.

Sample this.......

Beckham tops salary list

David Beckham is the best paid player in the world, according to a survey published in France Football magazine yesterday.

With £17m a year, the England captain tops the table ahead of his Real Madrid team-mates Ronaldo, who earns £13.3m a year, and Zinedine Zidane, on £8.8m. The three each have salaries of £4.4m and collect £136,000 a year in bonuses. But the 30-year-old Beckham earns an additional £12.6m in advertising contracts, with Ronaldo receiving £8.8m for his commercial deals and Zidane earning £4.4m for his.

Actually i don't think a player's wages are usually an issue at the point of negotiation, the IMAGE RIGHTS are the main thing to a club such as Real Madrid. Most of the players who have signed for Real rarely do so purely based on performance on the sports field. That is why Beckham was the most valuable player then.

In all honesty who would attract better endorsements between WR and CR7 at Real? The answer to this, for me, is a no-brainer.

So WR should simply forget about ENDORSEMENTS at Real and go for the HUGE WAGES at man-shitty.

WR has truly and surely burned his bridges. How do you cross a swollen river after burning the bridge?

This fall-out is what that Ugandan chap would call FURU FURU CONDISHON!

BREAKING NEWS: Wayne Rooney has signed a new 5 year contract! Wayne Rooney said: “I’m delighted to sign another deal at United. In the last couple of days, I’ve talked to the Manager and the owners and they’ve convinced me this is where I belong. I said on Wednesday the Manager’s a genius and it’s his belief and support that have convinced me to stay.

Either SAF a genuis or this has been a well orchestrated farce! Force the boy to sign a new contract, the sell him to the highest bidder in 2011 or create this hullabaloo to ward off media interest in his promiscuity! Hmmmm!

This is just a delay tactic. The fans won't accept him again. Manure are just making sure they get good money when they sell him in August

How exactly is SAF a genius in all these? I have to feel sorry for the old guy, it was either you give Rooney a new contract or his off. How many fans will believe this guy again when he talks of Man Utd loyalty.....Its always about the money. Whats even worse is the way he's being treated like a new signing, the guy is top class but yet to perform this season.

@ Mwenza, whats your say in this?

now that the dust is settling, Man U need to go for the wonderkid Gareth Bale to fill the left wing.
