It is not about one juvenile delinquent! Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Rooney made his decision to leave before the start of the season so i think that has a lot to do with his poor performance so far.

@Taz, Rooney is just too willing to bring discontent at Ol' Trafford.Why can't he leave in peace...I mean,what was the point of making a statement two hours before the game against Bursaspor?Wherever he goes, Man U fans will never forgive him.I wish he was wiser. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

On a different note, for Rooney to say Man-u lacks ambition, is a slap in the face of SAF and all Man-u players and fans.
I agree with @Taz, the lad wanted to leave much earlier...the prostitute scandal and 'fake' ankle injury were just the tipping points.
Destination? To a club with 'ambition'. So far, Real, Barca, Mancity and chelsea have been mentioned. I still think he doesn't fit Barca's system of play. Chelsea already have Drog. They dont need Rooney. They won last season without him. And Ancelotti views this saga as an internal Man-u matter for SAF to solve and has refused to speak about it. The front-runners should be Real and Mancity.

Rooney has handled his departure poorly to the level where any future boss will have to think twice coupled with the past discipline issues... All in all he has done the much he could do for Man U and he should be free to leave with courtesy....Most likely join JT and Ashley Cole to learn more about indoors

How come every time someone with ambition tries to leave United there are issues? Does every player have to be mindless unambitious like Scholes? First it was Bekham, oh too much media. Then Jaap Stam, oh not loyal. Then Tevez, oh greedy. Then CR7, oh oh oh. Now Rooney. Just because the coach has no prospects of better employment, why should the players be the same? I think Rooney got the right advise from Keane, "look out for No1". We all change jobs for better money and terms, I dont think theres anything wrong in that... Business opportunities are like buses,there's always another one coming

I said to him, 'Just remember one thing: respect this club. I don't want any nonsense from you, respect your club.'
I think SAF arrogance is also to blame here, this is no way to talk to your top player. The way i see it all Rooney wanted was a good deal to match other top players in the EPL. Keeping him on the bench only made matters worse.....Rooney knows his worth, he's not the kind of player you would just push around. SAF didn't even offer him any kind of support when he had the prostitute saga, i can't understand when he says he's surprised by Rooney's decision.

To be honest i am with Rooney side (not talking as a Chelski supporter) The talks fist stalled on August 14, his main bone of contention is the future of the current squad, in other words Wayne does not have "faith" on the current players to challenge for titles in the future both at home in Europe, so what had happened around that time..a certain David Villa had joined Barca, Ozil and Khedira had joined Real and Muller had joined Bayern (this to him were the main contenders in Europe), on the local front the blue half of Manchester had signed Super Mario, Chelsea did no change a winning team and Man U signed a certain Bebe..well who the F** is Bebe..Roy managed to hold onto Torres and Gerrard and Tottenham signed Van Der Vart, Arsenal signed Chamach and Squillachi...fast forward October 2010 Man U are above Tottenham on goal difference thats a trasversity and yet to play any of the top 5 yet?? that in my opinion is the bone of contention and am with Rooney on this
