Thanks for the info,i don't have any whatsoever,i just need 1000
shares,hope new shareholders won't be locked out.

CiC have made a formal announcement to Brokers. "The Company shall close the Shares Register for 30 days commencing 26th October 2010 up to 25th November 2010. The Rights Issue shall be opened up during this period for our members to participate."

Coop bank has increased its stake to 21% to become the single largest shareholder!If Coop bank has faith in this company, then you should. I am sure you will make money in the OTC tarding without having to wait for three years.

Sasha-Co-Op bank spent 130 Mio yesterday to increase its shareholding in CIC.Are the shares part of the additional issued by CIC recently or whats up?If its so, i will consider they have already taken away 4,814,841 shares ie (130,000000/27 per share to arrive at the figure ama?

They announced yesterday, but they purchased this well before the EGM. So they Purchased at 22.50/= and now should take up the FULL rights at 27/= in order to maintain the same % which they so happily announced

i wonder whether us guys who are non members will be given a chance to buy the shares. coz if its a rights issue then how will non members get these shares?
...things fall apart...the centre cannot hold..mere anarchy is loosed upon the world...w b yeats

You all need to be a sacco member to participate. There will be rights for existing members and other shares for sacco members who do not currently have cic shares.

since you seem conversant with this issue when do we expect the time table for the rights? and whats the likely price for the members and non members respectively?

I hear the timetable should be out by end of this week. The price will 27 bob a piece for both shareholders and new members.
