Youth Fund Loans

>> Does this fund give loans to individuals? Their site only talks about projects that benefit the community and awardees must be in a group. What about individuals who want to run private businesse? Has anyone benefitted from this scheme? Thanks in advance.

If you want loan directly from the fund then you have to be in a group. However the fund is also given through other Gvt bodies and banks.e.g. family bank, KIE,etc.

They do give out individual loans and the best bet is Family Bank. They gave me a loan back in 2008. I had unsuccessfully tried to get a loan from KIE but i never got to know what happened. We were taken round in circles after attending a "youth enterprise workshop" till i gave up. Luckily Family bank came through... am not sure if they are still giving out loans but its worth a try
