Old Mutual Very frustrating

These guys are turning out to be a nightmare for me.They sent one of their agents to me who managed to convince to take one of their policies---a life and investment one combined.
I paid the intial amount and sent it to them with MPESA to their MPESA Account.I filled all the forms and handed over my spouse's details and my ID photocopies.
Its now 3 months and no word from them.They cant even send to me the policy number.Their agent nolonger picks my phone calls and when i called their head office last week on Tuesday,they promised to call me back and i haven't heard from the since.
What can i do?

You could red-flag them with Credit Reference Bureau, create a viral pass-it-on kinda mail - that should hit the fokojembes where it hurts.

Old Mutual have a history, by the way. Once did a ka-small jobo for them about 5 years back, worth 10k. Goons didn't pay.

I see nothing about them has changed!Sad

@esther85, I had exact same issue with Old Mutual. Problem is it was a life insurance, chased it for a while, guy left the company, and had paid in advance.

Things went awry when I was contacted and informed my next payment was due. They claimed I was being covered all that time, yet I had never seen the policy, without my knowledge or that of my loved ones.

A quick visit to Insurance Regulation Authority in Upper Hill sorted out all those issues. The person in charge called, and all was lovey dovey and they changed policy commencement date.

Those guys used to kula money on some ill advised unit linked product I took with them. Once I decided enough was enough on giving money for something that I got no statements for, I terminated after three years, cut my losses, and got my money back.
Form is temporary, class is permanent

OM had major scandals in South Africa some time back. What has stopped them from exporting this here? Google Alan Greyling who was the main architect.

Visit them at upper Hill and say one simple word.IRA,who are a couple of blocks away.If they don't respond,make your threat very real!!
