@mjuaji all homes worthy calling a home have a cost, hata kama ni stand alone it has a cost on insurance, land rates, security charges or your own, waste charges, water/power. maintenance charges rangi na kadhilika... the cost is not only on a flat its across board[/quote]

if anything its cheaper in a flat consider having to employ your own watchman and garderner and all that and then you have to supervise them in a flat you outsource that since the cost is shared to security company(not necessary G4S) and cleaning companies and you are hassle free.
all option have their advantages and disadvantages it all depends on your bias
anyway for a society where people start by buying a piece of land that they dont need upcountry as soon as they get their first job its going to be very hard tio sell to them the idea of owning a "suspended house in the air"
