Can a listed company be bought by an unlisted company?

And why not? Nothing unusual there. We have cases where smaller companies have bought bigger companies than themselves.

Yes they can be bought then the buyer decides to take them private or let them remain listed.

I did mention in a previous thread that Bharti is talking to AK. They will initially form a partnership where AK products will be rebadged with Bharti colours. Plse don't ask me for a link or source - I'll have to shoot you first.

An unlisted co. taking over a listed one? Who remembers Barclay (note, not Barclays) attempting to buy out Crown Berger and failing to get to requisite no of shares to control and delist it?

Meanwhile they go about their business like nothing is happening. They are working on the mombasa metrofibre. In addition to their partnership with BBK and its SME clients they now have a partnership with HF. www.telecompaper.com/news/article.aspx?cid=759819 .The odds are stacked against them but man are they confident!
