In a world where the public buying and selling is not driven by sentiments, i think the quantity of kcb shares is there un-doing. Safcom does a 23bn and nothing happens. Kcb is on course 4 an 8bn profit end yr. But the shares are too many 4 any significant change in the short time.

S&L currently posts 1billion in PBT and before it fully merged with KCB it was only allowed to lend 250million per client and now it can lend 5billion per client.....

M.O.O promised to double our assets to 245 billion in 3 to 5 years and I will sooooo hold him to his words....

I guess thats the reason everytime you put on your radio or tv there is an S&L advert telling you to take up a mortgage....

@youcan't if this doesn't drive the share up TOMORROW i honestly don't know what will...

I mean KCB can lend 7 billion per customer which is more than half of HF's whole bond....

It has definitely benefited greatly from this crazy uptake of and its not like we don't know who will get all the government projects.... Laughing out loudly

guru, I think many NSE investors don't really follow up on a company's activities. They usually wait for the announcement of results. I believe that is why you don't see rallies in some counters even after great news.If it remains stagnant then it should be an opportunity to load up more. (maybe from Unga if all doesn't go wellSad)

@YCSUK

I don't know if many investors share the same situation with me. When KCB rights were done, I marshaled all cash I could get so that I could get maximum rights although I was only guaranteed 10,000 after buying the premium rights.

Serena comes along and I have no cash. Never thought there would be untaken rights in Serena. However, those who pumped their cash in KCB and or Serena had another challenge, SCBK rights. Now, we have 5billion HFCK bond. Add the total and you see where local money is being channeled in the last four months or so. When the dust settles, KCB will easily glide to 25 shillings, swing abit with kina Equity, HFCK, & ICDC in price range before settling at 20 something. By end of next year, KCB will be above 30 shillings Kenya money.

A month ago, I was vilified for suggesting that KCB will touch 20. I wish I could get the post (I am not good at digging old posts). Luckily, for me, I refused to listen to the mass. Got myself some 50,000 KCB rights and I do not regret. I think 25 should be a fair price for KCB.

Fortunately the recent rights were taken by middle term to longterm investors and this explains the support...wanjiku is still waiting for below 17
