There's been a lot of talk here lately, people defending and attacking various Telcos...calling MDs illiterate, etc etc.

I think we are not seeing the forest because of the trees.

So a simple poll, just to see what people really feel about the ONE UNDERLYING ISSUE:

ARE YOU HAPPY WITH CURRENT CALLING RATES AT 3/=?

-yes I'm happy at 3/=

-no, I'm unhappy and want rates back at 8/=

Pls answer either yes or no....

@KulaRaha - dude...how can I say this? I am not sure if there are any Zimbabweans on Wazua...but sorry to say, this is an opinion poll, very much like the ones on KTN....er...how do I say it? er...its a moot point....who would want higher tariffs (aside from SCOM shareholders?)

Djinn, there are people here on Wazua who are unhappy that Zain dropped rates, its not healthy, its not sustainable, it will affect dividends, I love Safcon, I'd never change, Orange is king, etc etc.

But all I'm asking is, forget all the hogwash, simply put, as a consumer, are you happy at 3/= or do you want to go back to 8/=.

Once you can answer that, then everything else falls into place. Simply.

The price wars will continue this is just a beginning. As the country develops with foreign investors the market share competition is inevitable. One time in 90s we couldn't afford to call in US expecially international calls, Bcoz of the monthly bill it was too high the one company was a monopoly( ONLY AT&T). Today the telephone companies are prenty of them big and small.Infact they begs customers to stay to put with a lot of freebies discounts. Then as time went on everything took an effect of the international calls all the calling cards are damn cheap.Hence cheaper than even locals calls becoz of competition including street small companies who undercut major telephone companies with the prices...today i talk with my mum and all my families in daily basis becoz we pay tokens..It is just a matter of time the tariff will be Ksh 2.00..... just wait .....
