What Kenyan athletes don't seem to understand is that you make more money from endorsements than from the sport itself. You need to market
yourself. For example, out of the approx. $100m Tiger Woods has made in 2010, more than $90m is from endorsements!!!
I'd like to know what percentage of the earnings for Kenyan athletes comes from endorsements. Who knows how much Mariga was paid for the UAP deal for example? Might even be less than a milli!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
