Your argument makes sense... But then again,Safcom and the other brands have slashed their rates drastically since Zain'z insane move..which could mean that they've been making outrageous profits out of us! I highly doubt they're making huge loses even with the new rates. Zain could be up to no good..but at least they've brought some sanity to the telecom World.

i think CCK has dropped the prices too quickly its going to damage the market , the cheaper calls are going to bring more people on the network and call dropping will be all the time now

CCK is to control prices up or down


i hope i will still have a mobile phone and a mobile network to use next year

Some basic business principles make me smell a rat in Pains move.
I agree that voice call rates were relatively high in Kenya but that doesnt mean telecommunication companies should operate at losses.
How rich and philanthropic is bharti (Hand behind pains move) to operate on losses for a year or two?. Assume they get the masses (as they are targeting), what principle will they apply to increase the charges on voice calls?
Bharti has masked with pain to spoil and then come later on as B Airtel with new charges.
The worst crime that people/organisations commit in life/business is setting a pace that they cant maintain.
Pain has dug its graveyard and the Luwele song is in the air soon.
Safcm can survive on data, mpesa, mkesho, okoa jahazi etc.

Where on earth do we have polices like the ones you are almost introducing in telecommunications? Kenya is a capitalistic market where consumers are free to choose. Away with your archaic socialistic policies. Kenyans are above that!You cant punish a company for its well earned success!! Who told pain to be an underdog? It had the same playing ground as safcm, why dint it realize success???
The government should provide an enabling environment for companies to thrive.

What is to sink will sink anyway. It doesnt matter how many floaters support it.
I love safcm for the many positives it has brought in Kenya.
