i think the local daily would give you the closest estimates, but am thinkin fina bank ....depends on the principal amount though http://www.finabank.com/ke/fixed_deposit.php

Try the smaller to mid-sized banks like I&M Bank, Chase, NIC, Prime, DTBK, etc

CFC Money Market, but for longer than the 6 months due to the 3% (I think) management fee they charge.

@GG Stanbic Money Mkt charges a mgt fee of 1.75%.The rate quoted in the dailies are net of mgt fees.However,it still offers a higher rate than most of the funds and bank around.The main disadvantage being that the rate are fluctuaing but so far i haven't seen anythng below 6%.
Alternative chec with Fina bank and DTB they give good rates.
