But the stock market is easy and it can give you good compounded returns if you beat the average over the long term.

QWhat rate of return are you looking for? Even 1% compounded still answers your question.

@wkari; Hi, I'm currently testing a forex trading strategy aimed at making low but consistent gains with emphasis on leveraging on compounding gains. If you are interested in following my progress, check out the daily updated stats at http://penwise.webs.com/...apreneur-trading-secret
that is, if international forex trade cuts it as 'an investment in Kenya' smile

Dude I think that's the million dollar question. Everyone here is trying to compound their returns for a better tomorrow. The rates is tricky And akina sasanet went down. So here's my suggestion to ya, get a stock that u can give u a better compounded rate than the market(again working this out is open to discussion) and hold on. Or trade and make 10% per month or something.

Goodluck.

4. Treasury bills/Bonds If you reinvest the interest paid or if you buy it at less the interest.

Depends from what angle you look at it. There are times where the price was sub-10 meaning if you got it at that price then you will be consistently be getting >10% dividend year in year out.

For example i got in KCB in January 2017 at 24 bob and have been raking > 12% dividend year-in-year-out irrespective of whether dividend goes up or stagnates.

Kenya power promises to one day give me a >14.2% div year in year out. ABP kshs. 3.50

I am not sure if companies can promise continuous payments of dividends or interest on securities, although they are usually having good yields. In this sense, for safer investment, it is better to place money on savings or Treasury bills
