qw Very true, however if you have been reading reports from safaricom they indicate that revenues associated with voice will be coming down and they are focusing on other areas in thier business, with the entry of Orange and yu they expected to lose subs by about 10 to 15% but that never happened. Safaricom has strategies and projections that work

Gone are the days when having the critical mass meant everything. Remember when a certain detergent and cooking fat were the household names.I think they must have behaved in a similar fashion like safcon and wished away or rather waited to deal with the threats to their dominance at a later time.I believe this is a high stakes game and what the competitors require are the numbers before they agree on how much is "sustainable".But by then some chunk will have been off the safcon customers. In the office at least half of the guys who had hitherto no Zain line acquired them this week.Personally I had one and since Wednesday I loaded my phone Na chapa imekataa kuisha.Safcon better wake up and drink the coffee.

@Kingi i read you and am sure they are working on something. Being honest with yourself how many of your friends with safaricom lines are now beeping you on your zain line to call them? you know what that means? someone is paying safaricom

I am still skeptical about the 3/= tarrif. Remember how zain unceremoniously withdrew the vuka tarrif? Pressure will affect revenues especially given that calling minutes may not increase proportionately, may force zain to rethink this. In the meantime however folks can continue to enjoy the party.
Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.
